To to configure a dialup connection to an isp, or other server, first edit /lib/ndb/local and add an entry specifying the telephone number for the isp, eg:

sys=MYISP
	telco=01234,555,1234

The the following script can be used to start a ppp session. If the modem is connected to the first serial port (COM1 on a pc) then eia1 below should be changed to eia0.

This script assumes factotum and ndb/cs is already running.
