The screen font can be changed at startup by changing the font variable in $home/lib/profile.

ANTIALIASED FONTS
You can use the Code2000, Cyberbit and Vera, TrueType fonts to get a nicer look on Rio and Acme. Erik has provided the following instructions on the 9fans mailing list (updated):
